Roy Rau

PAID OBITUARY
Roy Robert Rau passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019. He was 80 years old.
Roy was born in West Bend on Feb. 18, 1939, to Oscar and Loraine (nee Seibert) Rau.
Roy was a dairy farmer until his later years when he began raising Texas Longhorns as well as many other farm animals. You could even spot a peacock on the farm from time to time.
He was an excellent old-fashioned gardener. Roy also enjoyed hunting and fishing in Tomahawk with friends and family.
Roy is survived by his children John Rau, Leann (Gary) Dieringer, Joe Rau, Jenny (Dan) Burton and Clint (Angela) Rau; foster daughter Judy Rosenthal; grandchildren Rachael (B.J.), Josh, Samantha, Nick (Lindsay), Joe (Kyrie), Jim, Tiffany, Aleah, Ben (Amanda), Johan, Seth and Jacob; great-grandchildren Cheyanne, Celest, Katie, Brooklyn, Kenley, T.J., Hailei, Adeline and Azaleah; brothers Glen (Sandy) Rau and Alan (Marcia) Rau; and brother-in-law Lawrence Doerfert.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jean Doerfert and Karen Rau and his lifelong friend, former wife and mother of his children Marie.
A celebration of life will take place at the Buechler farm, 587 S. Royal Ave., Belgium, on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019. Roy’s family invites you to celebrate with them between 3 and 7 p.m.

A special thank you to all his friends and neighbors who pitched in and helped with his animals, etc., while he was ill and after he had passed. It was greatly appreciated.
