Rotary Club honors standout students

Eighth-graders who excelled academically during their school careers were the guests of honor at the Port Washington-Saukville Rotary Club’s annual Eighth Grade Honors Luncheon on Wednesday, May 15, at Portview Christian Center in the Town of Port Washington. Students from Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Port Washington who were recognized by the club were Ashley Benson, Ryan Burmesch, Caitlin Calder, Madison Connolly, Wesley Edie, Benjamin Falkenberg, Gino Feciskonin, Sydney Garthus, Ashley Giese, Margo Halbleib, Jayden Harris, Austin Huber, Brianne Janssen, Lauren Jeffers, Emma Kasza-James, Karlie Krueger, Madelyn Ksioszk, Bethany Levy, Luke Markiewicz, Ryan Marquette, Nin Martinez-Lopez, Matthew McCaman, James Mitchell, Jenna Ollman, Lucas Poull, Finnegan Ritter, Judith Shelton, John Sickles, Ava Soerens, Spencer Struckman, Emma Stumpf, Nya Sukawaty, Nathan Uselding and Allison Verfuerth. Students from St. John XXIII Catholic School in Port Washington who were honored were Abigail Doll, Sydney Hoeft, Sydney Johnson, Sophia Kuhl, Abigail Lotz, Josephine Tetzlaff and Jennacy Willie. Ozaukee Christian School students Jeremiah Lepien, Daniel Reindl and Angelina Mueller were also honored. Saukville resident Brian Miller (back left), who is athletic director and mens’ basketball coach at Milwaukee School of Engineering, was the guest speaker.
