Roof work just the start for Port library at a crossroads

The Port Washington Common Council on Tuesday hired a firm to reroof a portion of the Niederkorn Library that is leaking.

Pioneer Roofing LLC of Johnson Creek will do the work on the flat roof this fall at a cost of $63,000.

But the work, which will alleviate leaking from a part of the roof where the mechanicals are located, is only the first part of a continuing discussion of the library.
