Rocket golfers advance

The Cedar Grove-Belgium High School boys’ golf team shot 349 in the St. Mary’s Springs regional at Rolling Meadows in Fond du Lac on May 28, taking fourth place and advancing to the June 3 sectional at Waupun.

Lee Lemke shot 83. Jack Meinen and Gabe Bruin shot 86. Reid Ketterhagen shot 94. Ben Getschman had 99.

Coach Brett Daane said the players have improved, “both in how they are striking the ball and in their mental approach.”
