Riveredge program open to families, small groups

The Riveredge Nature Center is launching Riveredge Excursions for families and small groups to get outdoors and explore nature at the 379-acre property in the Town of Saukville.

Groups will be accompanied by a Riveredge naturalist on excursions such as Adventure Buffs: River Ramble; Summer Nostalgia: Frog Catching & Insect Scooping; Insect Safari: Prairie Sweeping and Log Rolling; For your Creative Side: Wildcrafters; and Green Thumbs: Garden Tour.

Each excursion is two hours long.

Groups with as many as nine people can be accommodated while practicing safe social distancing outdoors. Face coverings will be required for staff and participants while registering, when indoors and if social distancing is a challenge.

The cost of each excursion is $50 for all-access members, $60 for trail pass members and $70 for nonmembers.

To register or for more information, visit www.riveredgenaturecenter.org or contact Carly Jo Hintz at cjhintz@riveredge.us or 375-2715, ext. 152.
