Retired but not forgotten

Although Mark Grams retired as the Port Washington city administrator last spring, the pandemic got in the way of a retirement party. The city recently made up for that, holding a party and presenting Grams, who was administrator from 1986 to 2020, with gifts, including a clock, and dedicating a bench outside City Hall in his honor. Sitting on the bench were Grams, his wife Sandy and granddaughters Sydney, Taylor and Shylar White. A plaque in front of the bench includes Grams’ tenure and reads, “May you be proud of the work you have done, the person you are and the difference you have made.” Photo by Sam Arendt
