Residents may dispose of various items on Saturday

Dumpsters will be available for spring clean up at the Saukville Department of Public Works garage at 649 S. Main St. on Saturday, April 23.

Items will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Village of Saukville residents can drop off one large piece of furniture, carpeting, small amounts of construction materials, one box spring and mattress set, miscellaneous items intended for landfill and appliances such as air conditioning units, microwaves, dehumidifiers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, washers and dryers and water heaters.

Items that will not be accepted include cardboard, batteries, waste oil, paints, liquids, hazardous waste, recyclables, lawn debris, iron, tires, concrete and bricks.

Electronics like computers, monitors, printers, telephones with video displays or fax machines will also not be accepted.

Loads will be inspected for applicable items before drop off.

Ozaukee County will also have a recycling event on Saturday, April 30, at Fireman’s Park in Cedarburg from 9 a.m. to noon.
