Registrations taken for summer park program

Registrations are being accepted for the summer park program.

An open house for the program will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Hill School Park.

The program leaders will be at the open house, and youngsters will get a preview of the summer program.

They will play games, enjoy snacks and hear about the summer field trips, and there will be an opportunity to register at the open house.

The summer park program is open to students ages 6 to 12.

It runs from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays from June 11 to Aug. 3 in three Port parks — Hill School, Kolbach and Meadows parks.

There is a weekly theme, and the program includes games, crafts and field trips. Youngsters may attend as often as they like.

The fee is $150 for one child living in the city and $175 for non-residents, with additional children costing $75 for city residents and $85 for non-residents.
