Registrations taken for Port community garden

    Registrations are being taken for plots at the Hales Trail Community Garden in Port Washington.
    Plots in the garden at 245 Hales Trail are 15-by-15 feet.
    The cost of each plot is $40 for city residents and $50 for nonresidents.
    The fee includes use of the water hoses and hand tools on site.
    Gardeners may rent two plots.
    The garden is owned by the City of Port Washington and managed by the Parks and Recreation Department.
