Registrations being taken for virtual Scare 5K
Registrations for the virtual 2020 Saukville Scare 5K are now being accepted.
This year’s run, which benefits Saukville Elementary School’s free breakfast program, will allow participants to complete the 5K at their own convenience, whether outside or inside on a treadmill.
Times can be submitted to the Saukville Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event. Results will be posted on the Chamber website and through social media on Halloween Day, Saturday, Oct. 31.
Cash prizes will be awarded for top finishers.
Participants are also being encouraged to continue the tradition of running in costume. Photos of runners can be submitted to the Chamber. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.
Long-sleeve races shirts also are available for sale.
Registration is free. To register, go to www.saukvillechamber.org.
