Recognizing the art made by veterans and their families

The Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82 in Port Washington and its Auxiliary recognized the winners of its Veteran Creative Art Festival during a recent ceremony at the Niederkorn Library. Receiving awards were (from left) Sue Turowski, who accepted for Rylee Turowski, Barbara Augustenborg, Auxiliary President Diane Burkhalter, who held a piece done by Sebastian Waldoch, John Kubowicz, Jody and Pamela Davis, Renee Schreiner, Jan Nealy, Ethan Styles, Mia Styles, Jamie Mercer and Lucas Mercer.
