Reception set for artist at Gallery 224
Lisa Leick is the November artist of the month at Gallery 224 in downtown Port Washington.
A reception for Leick will be held from 6 to 7 :30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4.
Leick was an ArtServancy resident at the Biehl Nature Preserve at Lake Twelve.
Her exhibit features works created at Biehl Nature Preserve.
Leick earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in communication design from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in 2006 and built a successful career as a graphic designer and art director in the food and beverage industry.
In 2020, she earned a master of science degree in information design and strategy.
She currently is a full-time freelance artist and volunteer with the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust.
“My love and respect for nature has blossomed in the past couple of years. This has culminated in a desire to record and document everything I observe,” Leick said.
Gallery 224 at 303 N. Franklin St. is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays or by appointment.
