Rebels win both of their games
The seventh and eighth-grade Rebels youth football team picked up its second victory at Lake Country/Hartland last Saturday, 12-6.
Brady Krueger caught a four-yard touchdown pass from Mason Sommer and scored on a three-yard run. The Rebels offense controlled the ball all game, with Krueger and Garret Kawczynski running hard all game.
For the second game in a row, the Rebels defense was a key factor, led by a 35-yard interception return by Kaiden “Jordy” Nelson.
The fifth and sixth-grade Rebels beat Brookfield East, 25-6. They were led by Davion Igess, who had a 55-yard touchdown run and a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Jacob Ksioszk had a 38-yard touchdown run, and caught a pass from Jackson Dickson for the one-point conversion. Dickson also had a four-yard scoring run.
Strong defensive play by O’Neill Wright, Tommy Wilcox and Aiden Mitchell and interception by Quintin Gregory sealed the game for the Rebels.
Both teams host Whitefish Bay on Saturday, with the seventh and eighth-grade game starting at 9 a.m.
