Race sets the pace for Cedar Grove-Belgium wrestlers

There was no catching Owen Race at the Mid-States Wrestling Classic at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater last weekend.

Race went 4-0 and won the 138-pound championship.

In the finals, Race (19-5) beat Cooper Daun (22-6) of Wauconda, 10-3.

“It was a great tournament for him, especially at this time of the year,” coach Trevor Peterson said. “Owen wrestled well.”
