Quarantine quilt being compiled by museum

Quilters looking for a project are invited to take part in the quarantine quilt being created by the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts in Cedarburg.

The collaborative project invites quilters to create a 12-by-12 block to be included in the quilt, which will be compiled after the museum is reopened.

Quilt blocks should have a one-inch seam allowance on the edges.

Blocks may be embroidered, embellished, pieced, painted or collaged.

Each block will be included in the Quarantine Quilt project to be displayed at the Cedarburg museum.

Completed block may be mailed to Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts, N50 W5050 Portland Rd., Cedarburg 53012.

They may also be dropped off at the museum for a month after the isolation period ends.

The museum is displaying photos of quilt blocks that have arrived on its Facebook page.
