Providing happy birthdays to those in need

The Grafton Leos Club, a youth organization affiliated with the Grafton Lions Club, is dedicating its projects this year to supporting Family Sharing in Grafton, the Ozaukee Food Alliance in Saukville and the Food Pantry Inc. in Port Washington. As part of that effort, the club is collecting items and donations for birthday kits that include cake mix, canned frosting, sprinkles, candles, a baking pan, oil, streamer roll and birthday card for food pantry patrons. Holding some completed kits were Scott Ballering, a personal banker with Port Washington State Bank, and Liza Arol, Lions District 27-!2 Leo liaison. Supplies for the kits may be dropped off at Port State Bank locations in Saukville, Port and Grafton and monetary donations can be made at http://grafton-leos0club.square.site/. Checks may also be made out to the club and sent to P.O. Box 211, Grafton WI 53024. Leo Club members will be at the bank branches from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22.
