Printmaker is artist of the month at Gallery 224

University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc professor and printmaker Berel Lutsky is the artist in residence for April at Gallery 224 in Port Washington.
The exhibit is a culmination of Lutsky’s yearlong ArtServancy residency at Kratzsch Conservancy in West Bend.
An artist’s reception for Lutsky will be held at the gallery from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 8.
His drawings, prints and video are on view at Gallery 224, where the interior gallery space holds one of Lutsky’s large-scale prints from his popular summer series held in Manitowoc.
Lutsky will host a demonstration of printmaking techniques with an opportunity for guests to make their own print from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23.
These events are in addition to regular events at the gallery at 303 N. Franklin St.
Every Thursday, the writer’s group meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Members share what they are working on and encourage one another.
Local teens are invited to a Comic Conversation from 3 to 4 p.m. Fridays. The events provide a space for teens to work and share their creations.
