Port soccer earns ethics award again

The Port Washington High School girls’ soccer team is one of 20 across the country that received the Gold Award from United Soccer Coaches.

The Gold Award honors teams who have received between 1% and 10% of cards throughout the season. The Pirates got one yellow card for a player standing too close to a free kick twice in one game, coach Eric Liebergen said.

This is the third year the Pirates have received the Gold Award.
