The League of Women Voters of Ozaukee County in conjunction with the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington will host an online Port Washington-Saukville School Board candidate forum beginning Thursday, March 10.

The forum can be watched on the library’s YouTube channel at bit.ly/WJNYOUTUBE through April 5.

There are two Port Washington-Saukville School Board races on the ballot.

In one of those contests, Karen Krainz, Johnny Lanser and incumbent Brian Stevens are vying for two seats representing the City of Port Washington on the board.

Incumbent Kelly O’Connell-Perket, who with 24 years in office is one of the board’s three senior members, is not seeking re-election.

In the other race, Richard Sternhagen is challenging incumbent Yvonne Klotz for the at-large seat on the board, which can be held by a  person living anywhere in the School District.

Both Klotz and Sternhagen live in the City of Port Washington.

The general election is Tuesday, April 5.

Organizers said all the candidates have agreed to participate in the forum.
