Port High students to put their business acumen to the test

Four members of Port Washington High School’s DECA business and marketing club are headed to Atlanta this weekend to compete in the DECA International Career Development Conference. They are (from left) Dane Metzger, Josie Tetzlaff, Gino Feciskonin and Samuel Linstroth, who posed in the high school commons this week. The students had to overcome a bit of adversity to qualify for the international competition when icy conditions prevented them from driving to Lake Geneva for the first day of the state competition in February. They had only hours to produce videos and send them to Lake Geneva, where they were judged. Linstroth and Tetzlaff are competing in the business finance category, while Feciskonin is competing in professional selling and Metzger in the principles of hospitality.                       Photo by Bill Schanen IV
