Port High celebrates Veterans Day

Students at Port Washington High School and members of the public gathered in the gym Friday for a Veterans Day celebration that included an induction ceremony for four graduates who served in the military and were named to the school’s Wall of Honor. Clockwise from left photo: Members of the American Legion posted colors in the gym. Bob Daly (left) introduced Bruno Prima, a 1965 graduate who was named to the Wall of Honor after being nominated by the Landt-Thiel American Legion Post. Don Augustin, a 1967 graduate, addressed the crowd, as did William Hansen, Class of 1970. Both Augustin and Hansen were nominated to the Wall of Honor by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5373. Also named to the Wall of Honor was Don Sauer, Class of 1949, nominated by the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post.       Photos by Sam Arendt
