Port coloring contest winner to light tree

The Port Washington Parks and Recreation Department is holding a holiday coloring contest to find the person to light the city’s Christmas tree.

The contest is intended for children ages 12 and younger.

Youngsters are asked to color a holiday tree or scene with a holiday tree on an 8-1/2-by-11-inch piece of paper and submit it to the department by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28.

The entries will be judged on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The winner will be announced at the 6 p.m. Dec. 3 tree lighting ceremony.

Entry forms are available at https://tinyurl.com/mu5r65y9 or at the Recreation  Department office at 201 N. Webster St. from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
