Pirates beat old league rival in tennis

Port Washington’s girls’ tennis team topped former North Shore Conference rival Milwaukee Lutheran, 5-2, on Sept. 18.

Moorea Thompson at No. 3 singles beat Joie Bouy, 6-1, 7-5. No. 4 singles player Grace Neitzke beat Lauren Krimplbein, 6-0, 6-2.

Tess and Chloe Schueller at No. 1 doubles beat Faith Sandretti and Sonia Swanson, 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2, Jessica Boccio and Madelyn Hughes beat Ella Stopenbachen and Macy Hammer, 6-3, 6-2. At No. 3,

Morgan Stone and Ashley Zygowski beat Maya Rozek and Brianna Kroll, 6-1, 6-1.
