PHOTO OP-ED: From Port Washington to Washington: We protest.

Citizens gathered at Hill School Park in Port Washington Saturday to protest actions of the Trump administration. The gathering was one of several organized protests held in the area recently. Two women protestors, lower, who used a megaphone to convey their message, were dressed as characters in “The Handmaid’s Tale,” the Margaret Atwood novel about a totalitarian society that was once part of the United States, where women were considered property of the state and meant to stay silent.
