Patrice Comparin

Patrice “Pat” L. Comparin, 67, of Fredonia, died at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton Thursday, May 23.
She was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 28, 1952, to William and Nancy Reiter Melsheimer.
Mrs. Comparin grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from West Division High School.
On Oct. 14, 1972, she married her longtime sweetheart Calvin Comparin at Gesu Church in Milwaukee. In 1977, the couple moved to Fredonia.
Mrs. Comparin worked at the former Value Plus variety store in Fredonia, Shopko in Grafton and Sheboygan, and Kohl’s in Grafton.
Her family said she was a caring woman with a big heart who was happiest when she was spending time with her grandson. She enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching gifts and tending to her garden.
Mrs. Comparin is survived by her husband Cal of Fredonia; daughters Jennifer (Bill) Courtright of Fredonia and Nicole (Brian Gnacinski) Comparin of Beechwood; grandson William “Joseph” Courtright; siblings William (Carol) Melsheimer of Sheboygan, Candice Kostowicz of Caledonia, Richard (Lois) Melsheimer of Logan, Iowa, Roxanne Melsheimer of Blackwood, N.J., Barbara Melsheimer of Milwaukee, Suzanne (John) Jackson of Cudahy and Patrick Melsheimer of Milwaukee; and brother-in-law Perry Comparin of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother Gladys Reiter and brother-in-law Michael Kostowicz.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 3, at Poole Funeral Home in Port Washington. The Rev. Luke Anderson of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton will officiate.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 2:30 p.m. until the service.
Memorials to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight are suggested.
