Pair of guards lead Ozaukee
Ozaukee High Schools’s Brent Hoffmann and Noah Miller scored more than two thirds of their team’s points last Tuesday in a 77-55 Big East Conference victory at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah.
Hoffmann poured in a season-high 31 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists. He shot 50% from beyond the arc, sinking five of 10 attempts. He also went 8-for-14 on two-pointers.
Miller shot 5-for-6 on two-point attempts and 5-for-9 on three-pointers on his way to 25 points. He added seven rebounds and six assists.
“It was nice to get a win on the road. There are no easy games in our conference so we will celebrate every win,” Ozaukee coach Bob Domach said.
“We moved the ball well on offense and were able to get it into the middle of the zone, and that opened up great shots for us.”
The Warriors came out hot and built a 43-27 lead by halftime.
Simon Bares scored six points and added nine assists. Logan Bell pulled down seven rebounds.
The Eagles, 1-6 in the Big East, were led by Michael Modahl with 27 points and Josiah Stecker with nine.
The Warriors evened their Big East and record to 4-4.
Ozaukee will host Hilbert (5-3 Big East) on Friday and host nonconference foe Campbellsport (6-4) on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
