Ozaukee County seeking citizen members for two health boards
Ozaukee County is seeking community members to fill openings for citizen members on two county committees.
One opening is on the Joint Board of Health.
Applicants who have medical backgrounds such as registered nurses, physicians, medical advisors or related fields will receive preference.
The Joint Board of Health is a nine-member board consisting of county supervisors from Ozaukee and Washington counties and unelected citizens.
Normal board meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. every other month on the third Friday. Meetings typically last approximately one hour.
The Joint Board of Health recommends program priorities and county policies, identifies unmet service needs and prepares short and long-term plans and budgets in conformance with appropriate state statutes, county policies and budgets for the Washington-Ozaukee Health Department.
A citizen member for the Health and Human Services Board is also being sought.
Preference will be given to someone who is a customer of human services from Ozaukee County and to a low-to-moderate income resident.
The Health and Human Services Board is a nine-member board consisting of five county supervisors and four unelected Ozaukee County citizens.
Normal board meetings occur monthly at 8 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month and last approximately one hour.
The Health and Human Services Board recommends program priorities and county policies, identifies unmet service needs and prepares short and long-term plans and budgets in conformance with appropriate state statutes, county policies and budgets.
