Open mic night held at Cultural Center on Dec. 1

The Blueburg Café Open Mic Night  will be held at the Cedarburg Cultural Center form 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1.

The cafe, which is held the first Wednesday of each month, is hosted by Drew Hayes and gives a variety of performers a chance to take the stage.

The stage has been home to poets, spoken word acts, comedians, singers, instrumentalists and singer-songwriters who perform in all styles and formats.

Doors open and sign-up begins at 6:15 p.m. Performers are encouraged to sign up before 6:40 p.m. since time slots fill quickly.

Performers appear on a first-come, first on-stage basis, with management reserving the right to move performances to best showcase the talent.

Drum kits will not be allowed, and prerecorded music is not permitted. Drummers are encouraged to use congas or a cahon for this event.

The center requires all patrons to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or provide proof of a negative test result taken within 48 hours of the performance. Children younger than 12 may attend indoor events at the center with an adult who meets vaccination or negative testing requirements.

Masks are required inside the center when not eating or drinking.

The center is at W62 N546 Washington Ave.
