Online tree seminar will be held on Feb. 22

An online tree seminar will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, by the nonprofit organization Cedarburg Green.

Retired horticulture professor Glenn Herold will offer information on how to select the right trees for your yard and discuss the features of some of the 47 bare root trees being offered through Cedarburg Green’s Annual Bare Root Tree Sale.

“The time spent learning about trees prior to purchase is a very wise investment,” Jeanne Mueller, Cedarburg Green volunteer, said, adding that the virtual format means hundreds of people may attend the workshop.

Herold lives in Cedarburg, where he and his wife Terry garden in a one-acre urban yard with more than 900 different plants. His interests include hostas, conifers and small maples.

Registration is required and may be done online at cedarburggreen.org.
