Online programs to be offered by quilt museum

A variety of online programming is being offered by the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts in Cedarburg.

A panel discussion on modern quilting moderated by artist Lee Heinrich will be held at noon Friday, May 1.

Artists Katie Blakesley, Jacquie Gering and Tara Faugnan will discuss modern quilting, how they got started  and current trends.

Museum Executive Director Melissa Wraalstad and International Quilt Museum Curator Carolyn Ducey will have a virtual conversation highlighting favorite pieces from both museums at noon Friday, May 8.

Jacket and clothing making will be discussed by Mary Sue Fenner at noon Friday, May 15.

A local artist virtual chat will be held at noon Friday, May 22 and a virtual tour of the “Ivory and Blue” exhibit will be at noon Friday, May 29.

The May 21 Fiber Club meeting has been canceled,  but the June 18 and July 16 sessions are still on the schedule.

The museum’s fiber arts rummage sale has been postponed to Sept. 4 and 5.

 Also postponed are the Patterns in Polymer and Block Printing classes.

Still on the schedule are a June 17 beginning weaving class, a June 19 program titled Ancient History Detective and the Mystery of Pre-Columbian Textiles and a June 20 Striped Pinwheel Topper program.

A tie dye lab set for July 7 is still on the schedule.

The museum at N50 W5050 Portland Rd. remains closed.
