North Shore gymnasts win state title

The North Shore Academy of Gymnastics Level 7 girls’ team won the state title March 23-24 in Franklin.
The team, comprised of girls from the north shore ages 9 to 15, scored 112.4 points on beam, vault, bars and floor exercise to beat a Madison team by less than .2 points.
More than 20 teams competed.
The North Shore Academy team competes in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program that ranges from Level 2 to 10 (college scholarship athletes).

Gymnasts not pictured are Ally Johnson, Kayla Kestner, Hazel Stein, Taylor Valenta and Isabella Vincent. James and Katie Vollrath are the head coaches and owners of the academy, which is located in Cedarburg.
