Nonprofit Center lands spirituality center

A Place to Be Spirituality Center is moving from its Saukville location to the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center in Grafton on Aug. 1.

“This move allows us to continue our mission on a larger scale and deepen the ways we serve the community,” Becca Surges, executive director of A Place to Be, said. “We’re thrilled about the opportunities this new space will bring.”

In its new space, the center will be able to offer a meditation room, library, office space and areas for drumming, book groups, cooking classes, art nights, wellness programs and its Art Regatta fundraiser.

A Place to Be is an ecumenical community dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, meaningful connections and personal transformation. 

Carissa Barnes, CEO of the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center, said, “Their mission of accompanying those on a path of deeper understanding and connection through contemplative practices, education and dialogue makes them a perfect fit for our collaborative community.”

A Place to Be is currently located at 166 W. Dekora St.

The Ozaukee Nonprofit Center is at 2360 Dakota Dr.
