Nelson to speak at Earth Day celebration

Tia Nelson, international environmental leader and daughter of Earth Day founder Gaylord Nelson will participate in an Earth Day celebration at Riveredge Nature Center on Saturday, April 30.

The livestreamed program will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Nelson will discuss a short history of Earth Day and her climate change work with the Outrider Foundation.

Her presentation will be followed by a box lunch with a Riveredge educator speaking on “Spring Has Sprung” and a guided nature walk.

The event will be hosted by the League of Women Voters of Ozaukee County.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children.
