Miller to take on his former favorite team

Fredonia’s Owen Miller, before he made his Major League Baseball debut with the Cleveland Indians this season, said one of his favorite players to watch growing up was Milwaukee Brewer Prince Fielder.

This week, he will play against those Brewers. The Indians host the Brewers for a three-game series starting on Friday.

His family is going to Cleveland to watch.

“It will definitely be a fun series to watch between our favorite teams,” Owen’s father Tom texted. “Owen is excited to play against the Brewers as he knows (Craig) Counsell and just being from Wisconsin and rooting for them for most of his life.”

Owen is hitting .193 on the season with four home runs and 15 RBI and playing various positions in the infield.

The Millers picked up a third favorite team this summer when Owen’s brother Noah was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Twins.
