Memorial Day parade, ceremony is Monday

Fredonia’s Memorial Day ceremony will start at 9 a.m., Monday, May 30 in Veteran’s Park, 818 Fredonia Ave.

The event will be hosted by American Legion Warren Kane Post 410.

The program will include the Legion Color Guard, a rifle salute, performances by the Northern Ozaukee School Band and solo musician Ann Weiss, area 4-H clubs and Scouting groups.

Three World War II veterans, Norm Jagow, Ken Hypki and Virgil Weinreich, will be honored during the event.

Former Ozaukee High School band teacher Jim Salamone will be the guest speaker.

Former band students are welcome to meet with Salamone after the event.

Seating will be provided but attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs.
