Memorial brick orders taken in Port

Orders for memorial bricks that will surround the Pillar of Honor at Port Washington’s Coal Dock Park will be taken through May 31.

A portion of each brick sale will be directed to an ongoing maintenance fund to ensure the memorial is taken care of into the future.

The memorial, which features a replica of the Wisconsin Pillar at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., was restored last year, as were memorial bricks that had degraded since the Pillar of Honor was installed in 2011.
