March activities set at Niederkorn library
March activities at the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington include book clubs, workshops and a blood drive.
A career planning workshop will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5.
Emily Smith, a human resources consultant with Ansay & Associates, will provide one-on-one assistance with career planning, including resume work, interview preparation and job searches and applications.
A D&D group meets from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays.
Those attending may join a D&D or RPG session. The group is open to players of all levels of experience.
A grief support group will be held in the community room from 4 to 5:30 p.m. March 6 and 20.
The group is facilitated by Colson Leach, bereavement coordinator with Compassus Hospice.
The Lighthouse Lit[erature] Writing Group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
The group gives writers a space to quietly work and learn about next steps in publishing.
The Friday Morning Book Talk group will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 8.
The group, sponsored by the Port Washington Senior Center meets in the quiet room.
Copies of the featured book are available for check out.
The Novel Ideas Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, in the quiet room.

The BYOBook Club meets at Inventors BrewPub at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28.
Those attending are asked to share the book they are currently reading or just finished, no matter the genre.
“Wherever There’s a Fight” is the topic for an exhibit that’s part of the library’s East Asia Series.
The exhibit, which runs from March 1 to 30, focuses on the history of civil liberties in California.
Computer basics is the topic for a 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, technology class at the Port Senior Center.
Those attending will learn about the parts of a computer and get to practice using a mouse and keyboard.

A Memory Cafe for people living with memory loss, their family, friends and caregivers will be held in the community room at 1 p.m. Monday, March 18.
A discussion of the book “Indelible City” by Louisa Lim will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 14, as part of the East Asia series.
Free copies of the book may be picked up near the circulation desk.
The award-winning documentary “Ascension” will be shown at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, as part of the East Asia series.
Popcorn and beverages will be available, and carry-ins are allowed.
A Red Cross Lions Club blood drive will be held at noon Thursday, March 28, in the community room.
