Man who stole truck gets chance to avoid prison

A man charged with stealing his friend’s vehicle from Saukville and selling thousands of dollars worth of tools in it to buy drugs was sentenced to probation last week in a case that dates to September 2020.

Ozaukee County Circuit Judge Steve Cain sentenced Scott L. Ayala to two years in prison and two years of extended supervision but stayed those sentences, meaning that Ayala won’t have to serve them if he abides by the conditions of probation.
