Lorraine E. Biever
Mrs. Lorraine Biever of Port Washington peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at Newcastle Place in Mequon. She was 96 years old.
Lorraine was born in the Town of Belgium on Nov. 30, 1923, the daughter of Allie Kultgen and Florence Conter Kultgen. She grew up in Port Washington and graduated from Port Washington High School.
As a young lady, she was an avid roller-skater.
After high school, she attended Ms. Brown’s Business College in Milwaukee and worked at her father’s Chevrolet dealership in downtown Port Washington.
On Sept. 24, 1947, she married Harvey Biever at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in December 2000.
Lorraine was a lifelong member of St Mary’s Catholic Church (St. John XXIII Parish) and belonged to the Catholic Order of Lady Foresters and the VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, bird watching, the Milwaukee Brewers and had a special place in her heart for dogs.
She is survived by her daughter Lori (Mark) Minz of Grafton, her special niece Vicki (Jerome) Lauters, grandnieces Stephanie and Melissa and great-grandniece Olivia. She is further survived by other nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and her special dog Bella.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey and her sister Anita (the late Arnold) Becker.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary’s Church with Father Patrick Wendt presiding. Due to Covid-19, the Mass will be for family members only.
Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband Harvey at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Court of the Prophets in Brookfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor’s choice are suggested.
