Live at the Triangle to mix it up this summer

Saukville’s free concert series lineup pairs new bands with returning favorites; kicks off June 11

LIVE AT THE TRIANGLE concert-goers packed Saukville’s Veterans Park, formerly Triangle Park, for a show during a previous summer series. This year’s series kicks off on June 11 with a performance by 4 on the Floor and continues every other Wednesday through Aug. 20. Press file photo

Saukville’s Live at the Triangle organizers are mixing it up this year, adding new bands to this summer’s free concert lineup that will also feature returning favorites.

The concert series, held every other Wednesday in Veterans Park, will kick off June 11 when the Waukesha band 4 on the Floor brings rock hits from yesterday and today to the stage.

On June 25, Conscious Pilot from Northeastern Wisconsin will perform what organizers  call “an impressive list of fresh songs from the classic rock songbook.”
The Taxmen, a young group from Milwaukee that pays tribute to The Beatles and other hit-makers from the 1960s, will take the stage on July 9.

The Judson Brown Band, featuring the well-known vocalist and guitarist from the popular band Bella Cain, will make its local debut on July 23, bringing modern country music to Saukville.

On Aug. 6, Copper Box, with its unique take on modern Cajun, polka and blues, will return to the Live at the Triangle stage.

Closing out the series on Aug. 20 will be Bacchus Lotus, making its first appearance in the area and performing a wide-ranging set of deep-cut classic rock.

In its 17th year, Live at the Triangle has become a highlight of the summer that has outlasted other local concert series and typically draws a crowd to the band shell in Veterans Park, which used to be Triangle Park.

Event coordinator Bab Mittnacht attributes the success of the series to where it’s held.

“I think it’s the size of the community,” he told Ozaukee Press in 2023. “People still enjoy getting out and running into their friends and neighbors. There’s a lot of friendship and camaraderie.

“You get into a larger community and you don’t have that.”

The goal of Live at the Triangle is twofold, organizers said — to bring free quality music to Saukville for residents and visitors to enjoy while supporting the growth of the village.

Concerts run from 7 to 9 p.m., and those attending should bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Food and beverages will be sold in the park by local businesses and service clubs.

Each concert also features a “Cruise Night,” with custom and stock auto and motorcycles on display. Anyone interested in participating by displaying their vehicles should contact Phil Vincevineus at Pleasant Valley Auto Body at (262) 675-9098.

In the event of a concert cancellation because of rain, organizers will try to reschedule for the following Wednesday.

Live at the Triangle is presented by the Village of Saukville, Saukville Chamber of Commerce, Port Washington State Bank, Ruan, American Orthodontics, Ereztech, Village Sno-Seekers, Ozaukee Press, State Farm Norberto Matos-Soro and Melick Law Inc.
