LETTER: Yes, you can back the blue and black lives—they both matter

To Ozaukee Press:

Recently we were taking a drive to marvel at the fall colors.

My wife commented that she would be happy to see the yard signs disappear.

Then we saw a combination of signs side by side which we had never seen anywhere near each other—“Back the Blue” and “Black Lives Matter.”               

 I stopped and took a picture.

Of course, there is absolutely no reason why we can’t honor police work and honor black lives simultaneously.

They are not mutually exclusive.
