LETTER: Voters must stop Trump from taking our democracy away
To Ozaukee Press:
When Obama and Biden won the election from the Republicans, the banks were failing and America was in bad shape.
They worked as a team, and with help from across the aisle, the country was brought back to the country we know and love.
Trump lost the election by millions of votes, yet became president.
We are told that every vote counts, but the Electoral College proved that is not true.
Trump doesn’t play by the rules set out in the Constitution and the Republicans in the Senate ignore it.
He has even said on TV that as president he can do anything.
I guess that in the world of the Republicans that is true.
They have proved over and over again, that to win and set the rules are the only thing they are interested in.
Voss and Fitzgerald proved that in Wisconsin.
Now Republicans are going to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court so they can keep Trump in the White House.
Wake up, voters, we are losing hold of democracy.
Trump says he won’t leave the White House, when we have always prided ourselves on the peaceful transition of power.
Enough of hearing how great Putin and Kim Jung Un are.
Wake up, America, and save our democracy while we still can.
