LETTER: Uribe-Harbeck’s record shows she deserves new board term

To Ozaukee Press:

Lisa Uribe-Harbeck is the top choice for the Grafton Village Board. She has been a Grafton resident for 30 years, and showed her concern for the village in 2009 when she was an integral part of the Save the Dam Committee.

Lisa is a caring person with her role as an oncology nurse at Aurora Cancer Center. Her caring extends to her role as a village trustee since 2010. She has been involved with all of the Village Board committees and knows better than anyone all the issues and solutions that have been discussed.

One of Lisa’s primary focuses is responsible growth. She feels we should follow the 2035 comprehensive plan. The current percent of single family, apartments and multi-family units do not agree with the plan. She is not opposed to growth, but wants it to be in the right location with more green space in all developments.

Lisa supports the referendum to increase full time staffing of the Grafton Fire Department and continues to support the consolidation with Saukville. She also supports the need for a second school resource officer.

Lisa opposes the Grafton Triangle development that would close Grafton Avenue.

She thinks the Village Board should be more transparent and let the people have more access to what is being discussed.

I had been on the Village Board with Lisa for 12 years and she is the hardest working trustee we have. She talks with citizens about their concerns and listens to their points of view.

There is no better choice than to re-elect Lisa Uribe-Harbeck
