LETTER: Trump economic plan hearkens to WWII Milwaukee can-do spirit

     Today remind yourself that you’re living in a free and independent nation and do all you can to keep it that way. Our free competitive system has made our productive power the guarantee of our freedom and the hope of free people everywhere.  You are part of that competitive power.
    Destroy free business and you destroy free labor. Privately owned and operated business and industry provide for 90% of all jobs in America.
    These poster writings are part of a current exhibit at the Milwaukee War Memorial dedicated to World War II Milwaukee industries and their efforts to help the country. The posters were produced in the 1940s. The slogans are reminders to citizens in 2020 that the U.S. has always been a free country the world depends on.  
      The U.S. is not a country with socialist or communist leanings. It is a democratic republic. The policies of Joe Biden will not ensure that our democracy survives.             
    Donald Trump supports: tax credits for companies that move manufacturing back to the U.S.;  becoming a net energy exporter; investing in infrastructure; cutting regulations on businesses; funding on-the-job training; trade deals that benefit the U.S.; opportunity zone programs; and increased funding for training for Americans to be able to take over jobs in information technology, cyber security, advanced manufacturing and transportation that might be outsourced or rewarded to skilled foreign workers through visa programs.                              
      The can-do attitude of World War II Milwaukee is alive and well in the economic policies of Donald Trump. Please remember that when you vote in the 2020 presidential election.
