LETTER: In the Town of Fredonia, Matt Miller is truly ‘for the people’

To Ozaukee Press:

Election time is here again. This is our opportunity to exercise the freedom we have in our country to vote. But it seems that recently in the Town of Fredonia our freedoms have had limitations.

Public comments have been restricted and even taken off the Plan Commission meetings agenda. Agenda items are not descriptive enough to let residents know what is actually going to be talked about in some cases.

At the annual budget meeting of the electors, only a few copies of the budget were available. How can people vote to approve the budget if they can’t see it?

Also, residents have not been treated equally when they have presented proposals.

We have to remember government is of the people, by the people and for the people. Why are people being left out of the process?

It’s time to stand together. It’s time for a change. Matt Miller is running for chairman of the Town of Fredonia. He deserves be elected. As a current Town Board member, Matt listens to town citizens. He thoroughly discusses items at the meetings. He has loyalty to our freedoms and supports the veterans who protect them. He supports the youth through the Scouts to help them learn about being good citizens. Matt is truly “for the people.”

Treasure the freedoms we have in this country and vote on April 4.
