LETTER: Those who are attacking him obviously don’t know Brooks

To Ozaukee Press:
    Reading the letters to the editor in last week’s Ozaukee Press, I saw attacks on a person by people who obviously do not know Rob Brooks.
    Knowing Rob for nearly 20 years, I can tell you that he is one of the most giving, caring and hard-working people I know.
    There are not many people who give back to our community the amount Rob does without looking for special recognition or having an agenda. Rob has been volunteering in this community for as long as I have known him. We met while volunteering. I have never heard the word no when someone asks him for help, and I challenge anyone to find an instance when Rob doesn’t return a phone call or text if he hasn’t answered on the first ring.
    In looking for leaders in our community, I am looking for people who have done, not people telling me what they are going to do. Rob has been fighting for you and me since taking office and has been a vital part of this community for a very long time.
    Please leave the politics at the door and trust the judgment of Rob’s character to those who truly know him. I trust Rob Brooks to lead because I have seen him do it for a very, very long time.
