LETTER: Their take-out meals came with a warm dish of Christmas spirit

To Ozaukee Press:

Last Friday when we pulled up to the window at the Arby’s drive-though in Port Washington, the smiling attendant informed us that our dinner had been paid for by the person two cars ahead of us in line.

What a grand surprise, especially after weeks of looking forward to a non-Christmas Christmas.  

Granted, it was possible a friend recognized our car behind them, but we much prefer to think it was just a kind and generous person touched by the spirit of Christmas and paying it forward.  

This octogenarian couple especially enjoyed our dinner that evening and the warm, generous Christmas spirit that came with it.  

May that spirit inspire the rest of the world.
