LETTER: State owes taxpayers a share of huge surplus it’s sitting on

A letter to the editor in last week’s Ozaukee Press, “Taxpayers should get money spent on vote fraud hunt back,” correctly cited $2.5 million in wasteful spending associated with a voter fraud investigation. That equates to about

42 cents for each Wisconsin resident.  Let’s contrast that with the tax surplus that the Evers administration has commandeered from taxpayers and continues to hold.
