LETTER: This is Rob Brooks: a respected leader who fights for his district
To Ozaukee Press:
My name is Dawn Brooks. I’m writing not as a Republican, but as the wife of
State Rep. Rob Brooks who I married nearly 30 years ago.
As the election for the state Assembly nears, I want the voters of District 60 to know who Rob Brooks is.
Anyone who knows Rob knows he is wonderful husband, father and local leader. Simply ask the hundreds of kids that he has mentored in scouting and sports. Ask the many, many employees we have had or the hundreds of tenants that have rented from us over the last three decades. Ask anyone who served on the Ozaukee County board for more than a decade with Rob. Ask my daughter and her classmates who he coached in middle school. Rob has earned the respect of our community through kindness, fairness and generosity.
Rob has fought for his conservative beliefs ever since becoming involved in politics despite occasional criticism and admonishment from others. However, as an elected official, he has always listened and been willing to do whatever he could to help his constituents regardless of their politics. That is what our elected officials are supposed to do.
Rob will continue to fight for his Assembly district as he has done for our hometown community and Ozaukee County for more than two decades.
For all these reasons and more, I am voting for Rob Brooks. I hope you will too.
Dawn Brooks
