LETTER: Referendums let voters rein in excessive spending on schools

To Ozaukee Press:

Though I believe in taxpayer support for public education, it’s a matter of what for and how much. That’s what the referendum process allows the taxpayers to help decide.

Though many school boards have had to hold a referendum, their desires have been approved more often than rejected. If rejected, let’s assume that the voters saw a valid reason to do that.
